Third Week Entry

Just a quick post today to show off my latest Layout. It's called Let's meet elsewhere and is also posted over at the Studio for the Layout artist competition. If you know the site and have a little spare time jump over take a look and hopefully vote for me.

I used the frames as inter dimensional gates connecting different realities, each and every "creature" comes from a different places through the gates and along the rainbows  so to meet in this beautiful "elsewhere"

Supreme Contest round 3

I'm back and I am so happy that I made to round three over at GoDigitalscrapbooking.. I created a Layout using the kit they provided and I named it: Delicate Spirits. I wanted to give the idea of the children's spirits arriving into this world into some sort of  Soap Bubbles. Coming through a window open to the other side of the veil through the birth vortex. The atmosphere is magical and the color are pastel green and blue, colors of serenity.

I am strong convinced that our children will save the earth using a new consciousness and paying attention to nature and to the balance and interconnection between every plant, animal, rock and human  sharing the same house, the earth.  Respecting the world around them they will respect them self and save the world. Revolutions have to come from each of us to be effective, things and changes  forced from higher - read states - never work. OK I'm digressing, that's not the place for personal reflections......not now.

Here's the layout made with the kit : fwts- jjscrappingspringy you can find here:

Supreme Contest round 2

So I made it to round 2 of the Supreme Contest over at godigitalscrapbooking. This week was not easy for me, due to anxiety and lack of inspiration. My mind was set elsewhere as we went to the hospital with DS and found out he's got to get his adenoids removed. Big Cry from mom, hidden obviously. I know it is not that bad and that is it quite common and that it's not a difficult surgery but..... you know moms are always scared about children.  I hope we will go though this smoothly and above all fast as I heard you normally have to wait months (from 6 to 11) . A. Can't wait that long, as he breathes quite bad, specially during the night when he sleeps. Let's hope for the best.

So with my son in mind I came up with this Fantasy World, a layout with A. exiting the real world and entering through a door to his personal Fantasy Word.

Supreme Contest

Hi you all,

I'm taking part at the supreme contest over at GoDigitalscrapbooking, it's actually my second try at contest on the web. It's not the best time of the year for me to work on my PC, as I do not have all the time I would. But graciously my DH and DS played together yesterday evening and today for a couple of hour, so I sat down in front for my PC and tried to create a layout for the contest. To tell the truth I am very happy to do layouts, as I always have the sensation not to scrap as much as I would, I keep sorting photos and planning to scrap a LO with them but I seldom succeeded. My English is getting worst.....If someone is reading me I hope to be comprehensible. Rolf.....Here's the lo :

A. loves nature and trees exactly as I do, I suspect he can feel the energy of trees, and nature. For me it's some sort of physical sensation, just like a thrill. As I was a baby girl my grandfather cut a big pine tree and for me it was such a shame i cried almost a week, I felt so sad and lonely and had a deep grief.....

If my family would graciously honor me with some more free time I'm gonna be back soon.

My best wishes to you and your family.......

And enjoy the Carnevale.

Thanks a lot!!

Thanks to all of you!!!!

Thanks for having voted for me, I made it through, now I'm on round two at the SAS Designer contest. Have you already been on the Gallery ? There are really beautiful mini kits you can download for free over there.... not to mention the add-ons each designer published on its personal blog. You know what, as we were all given the same color palette, if you collect them all, you'll end up with a huge mega kit. There's a lot of talent spreading around.... don't forget to leave some love, is always much appreciated.

Now I am working on round two, I had no ideas, really, yesterday I was struggling with colors..messing it all up again and again... But obviously I'm a night owl because after dinner when D.S. went to sleep, I sat there with little or less effort I ended up with 13 backgrounds. enough for the kit and some add ons.... All I can tell you is that this time we have to figure out our own color palette and hang to the theme "best friends".

Come around in a couple of days and I'm gonna  have something for you..... once again thanks a lot to all of you for having helped me through and leaved some love both here and on 4Shared. Thanks , thanks, thanks.

Flue Freebies and sas contest

Hi all

Do you remember my post on the swine flue?
Well, a couple of say ago I went to paediatrician for my DS and so profiting the occasion, I asked her about the vaccine. The answer was quite interesting, first she told me that there's really no possibility that the vaccine includes mercury as it is prohibited by law.

 Well, Good news.

Second, as I suspected, the seasonal flu is much more dangerous than the swine one, the percentage of death are higher. She explained me that each year in Italy we have 5000-10000 deaths due to the "normal seasonal flu". Quite scary, don't you think... I must have looked quite astonished as she felt obliged to add "nobody knows this numbers or they don't think about it so they are not scared" Blissful ignorance!

OK I don't wanna talk about this any longer, let's wait for government guidance rules.

For closing this topic I would like to offer you a scrap-booking subject related freebie that you will find at the end of the post, hope you'll enjoy it!!
Changing the topic I'm gonna ask you a special favour, I just signed myself up for the annual contest at SAS. Around 65 designers more or less experienced are taking part in the contest.
At the end of each of the four competition rounds you will have the possibility of getting tons of freebies. Every and each of the participants is working hard and with lots of effort to reach the 4th round, and this depend on you. You can vote for your favorite kit designer over there and help surpass the first 3 rounds. You will find more in formations and the mini kits on their site.
I myself , I am working on the mini kit for the first round and I'm gonna post here the previews,  the links to the sas gallery where you can find my kit and download it and some add on coordinated freebies as soon as I get them ready .So come back and check. Now the favor is this....if you like my kit then VOTE FOR ME  and help me go through....Eh eh eh rolf

And now on to the freebie:
