Searching a new flat plus freebie

We're still on the search of a new place to live; we definitely need to move from our flat, it's too small for the three of us, only 45 square meters. I heard of a new flat they were renting from a neighbor so I called the owner and yesterday we finally managed to see the place. It's was not bad, big enough even if the two bedrooms were a bit small and the two bathroom (the second was more or less the size of a wardrobe) had no windows. The real negative thing was the light... we saw it around three pm with full light outside and still we needed to switch on the lights inside in the living area. The living room-kitchen is a long rectangle whose lengths was twice its width with only one french window leading to a narrow balcony. Too dark to be only early afternoon.  We asked for a couple of days to think but I don't believe we'll move over there. The light is what I miss mostly now and considering how expensive a move is and adding also the new furniture needed, well, the new place should make me say wooow, ahhhh from the first moment! This is not the case... At the same time I'm afraid to loose an opportunity because this the best flat I saw up to now and I don't wanna regret my decision.... Uff... How I wish I knew a future teller.... anyone there? Anyone to help?  Ok! Stop!
