Back and Running + freebie

After the struggle with hardware and software I finally managed , hopefully, to get back posting. As you know from previous posts I wrote, my HD failed and I bought a new one. Unluckily its delivery was delayed and I had to wait to have it installed. When I did it I realized with a gasp that only 1TB of the 3TB disc was recognized by Win 7. Desperate I googled for a solution since I'm not a technician and I discovered that big HDs need to be formatted in GPT format and not MBR, plus if in need to transfer files bigger than 4GB you'll also need the NTFS file system on it and there came the problem ... you can only install the operating system on a MBR type disc......AAAARGHHHH
I started over once again formatting both of my internal HD: I installed the OS on the 1TB  MBR disc and added the new 3TB GTP formatted type disc as a secondary storage disc with file format NTFS. I booted the machine once again but it did not work: of the  3TB only 750 GB were seen by the OS. GRRRRRRRR!!!
Google helped once more and after a 4 hours search I found a guy on you tube with the same problem and a SOLUTION! Yeppie! Thanks God for my comprehension of the English language..... Turned out I needed to update the RST Intel drivers!
The Intel site has an automatic procedure that does everything on its own and detects the right drivers needed by you computer , woooo, big smile, there are lots of driver over there..... Well it did the magic and my 3TB magically appeared in all its splendour.
It was 3am when, just to be sure, I decided to reboot my computer one last time......
Guess what..... It did not boot up, I got stucked !
As I sat there staring the black screen and pulling out my hair I suddenly saw the light: maybe the bios was trying to boot the operation system from the bigger disc  with no OS on it instead that from the 1TB disc..... So on the next reboot I entered the boot procedure to check what was booted first and I was right. I switched the order and voilà I did the trick!
I hope this post may help someone in the same situation! But be careful because changing the file type disc from MBR to GPT will cancel everything from the disc so back everything up before doing it. Changing from FAT32 to NTFS is on the contrary safe, but back it up just in case!

Back to scrapbooking Angie came back while I was fighting and released a new kit called Beautiful Magnolias:
