Time flies away, summer is ending even if it was a strange summer: very rainy and not warm at all. We had 72 rainy days in three month and only one week in June with temperatures above 30°C. Very strange. Our projects for bike riding, going to the swimming pool, train outside, archery training are gone for good. In a couple of days, on Wednesday, school will start again with its pro and cons. I feel a bit sad...
Meanwhile I keep fighting with my PC. When the HD died we decided to take the chance and update the system. DH bought 3 new memory banks of 4 GB each since I had already 4 GB installed and a brand new super silent CPU cooler. As you can imagine things went not as smooth as desired.
After installing the Ram I got a blue screen of death....
I checked the ram and the slots to ensure they weren't faulty and it turned out the new memories were not compatible with the old one by HP I already had, grrrr .
It's not a big deal as my machine is fast enough with 12 GB ram installed.
When the cooler arrived, via ensured post, we noticed some little plastic debris falling of the package but we gave no importance to it as the cardboard box was not damaged. We then had a problem as the old cooler was secured to the motherboard with screws and the new one by pushing pins. We therefore removed the old cooler but we also needed to remove the screw nut fixed on the back of the motherboard itself. As there was no way to reach the back we unmounted the motherboard from the case to do the job. Once removed we took the nuts away and installed the new cooler. We secured the motherboard to the case and re-installed everything back in: the video card, the fans, we plugged in all the cables and only at that point we noticed that the plastic frame of the fan cooler was damaged...... GRRRRR ....
Luckily the cooler works perfectly even if the plastic frame is broken.
I simply can not disassemble the new cooler and send it back as I can not install the old one back (remember the screws) plus I do not want to wait 10 days to be operational again.
Since the cooler itself works, I would only need a fan replacement, I sent an e-mail to the Arctic company explaining my situation to see if they can send me one but I got no answers yet.

Back to scrapbooking I'd love to show you the new kit by Maria Designs called Bouquet d'espoir:
in her shops:
I used this kit to scrap some pictures we took in July during our one day visit to Venezia.
This beautiful romantic city is just 2.30 our drive from where we live.
The sky was not crystal blue but it was quite sunny and warm!
the freebie
As usual all my creations are for free and for personal use only.
All I'm asking is a little bit of patience in reading this post's few lines to find the download link which is hidden in the post.
Once you reach the linked word and you move your mouse over it, it gets highlighted or changes color (it depends on how you browser setting regarding links are configured). Click it and you will be taken to 4shared.
You'll be prompted for a password. The password is: fortuna
PS: if you don't find the link (it's there I grant this) drop me a note or a comment but give me a way to contact you back... , I will be more than happy to help you out as this is not a treasure hunt, it's just a way to let you read my post.
Please leave a comment, a little love is always appreciated!
