Dear Mom (in law) plus a little overlay free

I am not a very fast scrapper and although I love to take part in challenges time for scrap is always short. I love doing scrap booking goal challenges over at Hummie's World and I'm trying to keep up with the scheduled goals. One of the last LO I did is dedicated to my mother in law, she is a very good-hearted woman, who had a very difficult life. I  would love to tell her story in the smallest details but because of privacy reason I can't. The few thing I can say is that she worked hard for all of her life, first abroad to support her family (father and siblings) and than at home while her husband worked abroad. She raised two children, one is my DH,  suffered from serious illnesses but managed to go on as well as she could. She lost her DH after 15 years  of Alzheimer's disease only to loose the memory herself. What a tragedy. I remember how sweet and caring she was with me but most of all with my son A. She used to sit near his crib and watch him sleep, ready to cuddle him or doing whatever he needed. even when she could not walk anymore she used to sit near him, a lively toddler, play and talk to him. I took lots of picture of them and also some movies to have some memories to show to my son in the future. Now he is 6 and grandma does not recognize us anymore, A. when asked knows that she is grandma but has no memory of that time, no memory of her at all, so I show him photos and cam-movies and I explain  him how lovely his grandma was at that time. It makes me cry.....If you scroll down my blog in past post you're gonna find a prayer she wrote for A. ,the very same prayer he is used to say before going to sleep. It's all very touching and hearth breaking to me. I always remember her in my prayer. That's all there is to do.

What a lovely tribute. Alzheimer's disease is so insidious. Thank you for the overlay.

What a beautiful tribute to your mother in law. If she were able, she would tell you how much that meant to her.
I was not able to find the link to your overlay even after reading your post but that's ok.

Thank you so much for the beautiful overlay. I'm sorry to hear about your mother-in-laws losses, but happy to hear of the love you have for her and the love she obviously has for her family. Best wishes to all of you.

I think that worst thing of aging is having that vibrant person disappear day by day. I'm glad you that have captured some memories for your son. I have a litle clip (about 3 seconds) of my mom saying Happy Birthday and I play that sometimes to hear her voice. Thank you for the beautiful overlay and for sharing your MILs story.
